Coming Soon: Baby Ramsayer

Well folks, we're going to be adding one more to this Ramsayer family.  Baby Ram is due to make an appearance on January 4, 2012.

Trina is absolutely ecstatic.  She spent a large portion of the drive back to Michigan brainstorming names.  Her number one choice is Thumbalina, or Lina for short.  I suppose that is a step up from "Peter Parker Spiderman Barker" she so badly wanted for her brother Skyler.  Trina is deadset that this baby is going to be a girl.  I'm not sure if it's her child's intuition or she's just super sick of brothers at this point.

Ryan, on the other hand, wants a boy so badly he can taste it.  I'd be happy with a boy or girl, but I've had a strong feeling from the beginning that this is going to be a little girl.  I suppose we'll find out for sure in August.  For now it will be fun to hear what everyone guesses.

I suppose I'll have Baby Ram make his or her first internet appearance.  I've had 4 ultrasounds up until now, so here they are:

Baby Ram @ 6w1d:
 Baby Ram @ 7w1d:
 Baby Ram @ 10w1d:
Baby Ram @ 12w1d...in this one you can only see the profile of the face (bottom right) because baby did NOT cooperate at all for measurements or pictures:

So, place your bets.  Team blue or team pink?

Happy Anniversary to the Malics!

I can't believe that you guys have been married for a year...I'm sure you're going through all the same crazy feelings I did a few short weeks ago.  On the one hand it might seem like time has just flown by, but then on the other it seems like it's been so much longer.  Enjoy your last few weeks as a married couple, because Baby Malic is on his way, and you'll be three.

I love you both so very much!  I hope you had a great time in Myrtle Beach!

Finally, Blogger!

I have been trying to write a post for days now and Blogger just refused to allow me to do anything.  Some days I couldn't sign in.  Other days, I just couldn't post.  And finally, there were many days I couldn't even make a comment on someone else's blog.  Lame.  But, it looks like today is going to finally work.

I'll just give a quick update for now.

First, um, when did June get here?  And HOW did June get here?  I don't know where time went, but it's going by too quickly.  We have a lot going on this month and a lot of big important dates.  For instance, we find out if Baby Malic is a boy or girl TODAY!  I am so geeked to find out.  I've been on Team Blue since the very beginning.  I've had a number of dreams that clearly indicate the baby is a boy, so I'm just going to play up a psychic connection and we're going BLUE!  I'm going to be on the edge of my seat ALL day until I get the call/text/whatever from J to tell me what it is!  I can't wait to be an honorary Aunt!!!!  YAY!!!  Also, J's 1st anniversary is on the 18th.  Trina gets here on the 25th.  Like I said, there are a lot of big days this month.

I'm getting antsy to get my backyard done.  My landscaper got behind because of all the crazy rain and flooding we've had (and I'm sure this extreme heat has set him back even further).  My mom's house isn't done yet, so I know they're no where close to being ready to start mine.  I completely understand...but that doesn't make me any less impatient, lol.

The garden is going great!  I started the beans, cukes, onions, lettuce, and carrots from seed.  So far, the beans, cukes, and onions have all sprouted and are going strong.  I haven't seen any lettuce or carrots yet, but they have a longer germination time so I'm not really expecting to see much until this weekend or early next week.  The strawberries are going strong as well, and by strong I mean trying to take over half of my garden.  We've already eaten a few of them and they were delicious.  The peppers and 'maters are all doing their thing and getting nice and big!

It has been unbearably hot around here lately.  Quite a few 98 degree days.  My a/c has been running like crazy, but keeping my house and a nice and cool 67 degrees.  Yesterday at work was pretty nasty.  We lost power from 10:00 a.m to about 3:00 p.m., which means no a/c.  Obviously, we have generators, but those are only to run the essentials to keep the business going...and the a/c is definitely not on the "essential" list although I would definitely argue that point.  To be honest, with the way the heat has been I am surprised we haven't lost power more frequently.  Everyone is running everything right now and that makes for an overworked DTE.  Although, I can't complain too much...SUPER HOT = SUPER BUSY.  And SUPER BUSY at work is a good thing when it comes to work.

Well, that's all for now.  Unless Blogger decided to freak out again, there will be another update soon!  Definitely one telling y'all about Baby Malic!!!
